Kia Ora & Hello,
Welcome to the first edition of our new monthly newsletter. It is going to packed full of useful information about youth issues and information, adventure programmes, outdoor education, team building and highlights. We all hope you will find it informative and worthwhile. All suggestions and feedback will be welcome to give you what you want.
Something of great concern
Please pass around our education world. New form of methamphetamine (Strawberry meth or Strawberry quick). Look how easy this could be
mistaken for lollies or jelly. Please read and digest. This could be
one of our children, grandchildren or friends.
There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all need to be aware of. There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry poprocks. It smells like strawberry also and it is being handed out to kids in school yards. I'm sure it will make its way around the country if it hasn't already. Kids are ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to the E.R. in dire condition. Please instruct your children to not accept candy that looks like this even from a friend and to take any that they may have to a teacher, Principal, etc. Please pass this around it could save some family a lot of heartache!
Coming Events
Schools
Term 3 will have us busy with the remaining 8 classes of Year 10 camps for Hillcrest High School and further four Year 7 classes from Otumoetai Intermediate.
Fishing 
Both Gav and Doe will be heading to Turangi for the Turangi Leisure Lodge Fishing Competition, which they took away half of the prizes from last year, but missed out on the grand prize.....so something to strive for there.
